Nearly born and entirely raised in Petaluma California, James Blake's current work interprets contemporary conversations about sustainability and the role of fine art through traditional approaches to functional objects. Refined lines and analog tools join storied materials to become carbon worth sequestering. Conglomerations of wood, metal, and rubber support performance works while wood and steel commissions elevate the living spaces of Sonoma county residents.
